Green Democray

Green Party does democracy differently. Like other green parties globally. The Green Party now has co-leaders with gender and equity balance. Elizabeth May from BC and Johnathan Pedneault from Quebec and Rainbow Eyes in the Green Indigenous deputy leader from the North West Territories.

Unlike other traditional parties, greens don’t believe that the party leader should automatically should become prime minister if a party had a majority in parliament. They should be elected by the house like we elect our speaker currently. This would work well under a minority government situation.

Greens also believe in proportional representation like many other countries globally that would better reflect how people voted. This would avoid vote splitting and encourage parties to work together for the common good.

Greens think globally and work with indigenous and diverse communities to reach agreements on local, regional, and global issues to improve the quality of our lives to sustain a better future for generations to come. We endevour
